Who You'll Work With
We're a mixed group - engineers, researchers, designers, marketers, a few people who are hard to categorize. Our offices are in New York and Toronto. We work hybrid, show up when it makes sense, and yes, the snack bars are genuinely well-stocked.
People here came from places like Perplexity, Meta, Uber, Microsoft AI, and Affirm, as well as research labs at Princeton, Caltech, Vector, AMII, and MILA. That sounds impressive on paper, but what it actually means day-to-day is that the bar for thinking carefully about problems is high - and the ego around it is pretty low. Anyone can pitch an idea for the next feature. Junior engineers have shipped things that became core product. Nobody owns a meeting room just because of their title. If something sounds interesting - a design review, an ML reading group, a product sprint - you're welcome to just show up.
Two or three times a year we get everyone together somewhere. Usually part hackathon, part actual vacation. Past trips have ended up with people foraging for mushrooms, playing Avalon until 1am, doing salsa dancing badly, trying wakeboarding for the first time, and sitting around campfires arguing about product ideas. Pickleball has become a recurring theme. Karaoke happens whether people want it to or not.
